DESTROYED by JAYNE STERNE

NON-FICTION

Reading through Jayne Sterne's 'Destroyed', I felt something that can only be named at indescribable. The story had a very powerful impact on me, and I must recommend this novel to every female (and even males) of ages fifteen and above. 

As mentioned above, the story is non-fiction. It is about child abuse, the sufferer being the author herself. It makes one realize the importance of the large number of things in our lives; even the minute ones hold extra-special meaning. 

Sterne creates an emotional turmoil as she reminisces the horrible childhood she had, writes about the impact of it on her, as well as others around her, and the beauty of life itself. 

Most of all, Sterne tells us of the importance of speaking up. I believe that this novel is a must-read for all.
